*thisApp currently operates under one website domain: thisapp.io. It is thisApp's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.
Like most website operators, thisApp collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. *thisApp's purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how thisApp's visitors use its website. From time to time, thisApp may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
*thisApp also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses in order to protect itself from cyber-attacks. *thisApp does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.
*thisApp supplies thisApp as an app which is available on the Google Playstore, and the Apple App Store. *thisApp app follows the same guidelines as listed above for website visitors. The installation of thisApp through one of the aforementioned app stores will probably be tracked by that respective app store. *thisApp has no control over the collection of the information gathered by these app stores.
*thisApp collects no personally-identifiable information for its own use.
Some users of thisApp, such as the merchants, may choose to share their information (e.g. business name, physical address, GPS location), with the public for advertising purposes. Also, conversely, other users of thisApp, such as the consumers, may choose to search for merchants in a geographical location and by doing so, the consumer’s rough GPS location would be exposed to our servers where
If users of thisApp create certificates (i.e., an agreement) with each other, then those two parties will share the information which is contained on the certificate with each other. Copies of the certificates will remain on each of the two user’s devices in an encrypted format, only to be decrypted by that users’ passphrase. Copies of the certificate and other related information relative to the current state of the user’s thisApp device(s) will be encrypted locally with the user’s passphrase and backed up on the thisApp’ servers.
*thisApp only uses GPS for the benefit of the user. Precise GPS location will never be transmitted unencrypted. Precise GPS location will only be transmitted to the merchant that the consumer is attempting to conduct business with and/or anyone which the consumer chooses specifically in which to share this information with.
*thisApp only uses the camera for the benefit of the user. The camera is used to link two users together and also for the user to load draft certificates into their device without having the need to connect those two devices together.
*thisApp does not use cookies.
Although most changes are likely to be minor, thisApp may change its Privacy Statement from time to time, and at thisApp's sole discretion. *thisApp encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Statement.
